The Many Adventures with Abby

Her dark hair outlines her bold and unique personality, and the sparkles that dance in her eyes when she smiles warms a welcome for any stranger. She is the sweetest soul you will ever meet. With a quiet confidence that is always inspiring, she has a talented way with words that spin and twist you in each and every direction until you're so wrapped up in the plot line that you can begin to actually feel the characters forming right before you. As a writer, she is able to poignantly describe thoughts and feelings and backgrounds with an unmistakable accuracy.

Unfortunately, my way with words is not that gifted...at least when it comes to trying to describe her.
No amount of pictures, words, or quotes will be able to accurately paint a portrait of her, but until you meet her, this is a must read.

As a thank you to all she's done and a hat tip to her brilliance, this post is dedicated to you Abby....we hope you're still reading this blog.... :)

Even after letting us stay with her family in their home, and getting minimal hours of sleep from staying up late and talking, Abby still found the bright energy to show us around her home town, especially that of the stunning Dahlia Hill.

"Because I have to, and I like the sunshine. Being alive."

As the very first person to ever write in our official 'Why do you get up in the morning?'/Treehouse Trails book, she set the bar high with her sweet outlook on life.

"The quote on my wall says: 'Everyday holds a possibility of a miracle'. But you'll never see it if you don't get out of bed. I get out of bed to witness the little miracles."

We don't just love Abby because of her love for the sunshine or for miracles, she's also always has something funny and clever to say.

On our last morning in Michigan we all piled into the Jeep to go out by the "Tridge" for bagels and coffee. Sarah and Chris in the front seats; Jeanette, Jennifer, Danny, and Abby in the back. As everyone gets situated in their seats and buckled in, Abby reaches around and sets her arms behind Jennifer and Jeanette (generally as some guys might do when they sit down) and exclaimed, "Wow. I didn't know it was this comfortable to be a dude".

I suppose when it comes in the battle to which part of the population sits comfier (guys or girls?), the vote undoubtedly, hands down, is given to the guys for their arm-stretching genius.

Thanks Abby for everything you've done!
Miss you all already,
Love,
The Crew
