We Found the Center of the Universe, and We'd Like to Share it with You

Our drizzly day in Oklahoma was perfect to drive a quaint stretch of Route 66, and stop off at the famous Tulsa Route 66 midpoint!

This driver’s seat was idyllic for Jennifer’s favorite kind of driving.
No other cars on the road.
No hills, lakes, or ravines.
Plenty of room in the lane with no turns.
And most importantly, it is the most perfect speed she could ever ask for.
…but where did the horses come from?!?

These sculptures represent a time when the present meets progress, East meets West, and where horse & wagon collides with internal combustion. If you look closely on the grill of the car you will notice the sculpture of a little unfortunate insect that also happened to collide with this automobile!

We’re always quite fascinated by the magical acoustic mysteries we’ve discovered in each state, especially by Tulsa’s own self proclaimed Center of the Universe. Bricks lain in the path of a sidewalk, it’s fairly difficult to find. We drove by it several times and even had to double take once we walked by. Could this really be the Center of the Universe?

With your feet placed firmly in the shelter of it’s subtle circle, anything you say is eerily echoed back to you; but only you. To anyone outside of the circle it seems like you’re speaking like the rest of us. Take one foot out of the circle and you will lose your magic touch. But done just perfectly and the world is a little dome that your words bounce off from.

"I get up in the morning because I like getting things done on my to do list...and because I have to feed the dogs."
"Every day is a gift, enjoy it while you have it, each day gets faster and faster every year."

Thanks to our fabulous Oklahoma family! Y’all are so sweet to take us in…and even make us that incredible biscuits and gravy!

To man made mysteries & long stretches of glorious roads,
Love,
The Crew
