Hello Seattle

People talk all the time, about a lot of things.
But sometimes people don't talk about some things. Important things.
One thing we found no-one talks about are the HILLS in Seattle.  People talk about the hills in San Francisco all the time.  In fact, they're kind of famous for them.
But we were never prepared for the city hills we met in Seattle.  Straight up and straight down.  All the way to the water.

To all people who live in, or have ever traveled to Seattle,
You need to warn other people about the hills.

The famous Pike's Place market of Seattle was brimming with people, even on a chilly Tuesday morning!

"To go to work."

It was quite the experience to walk down the market and enjoy all of the local artistry, food...and fish!

"Because I love my life!"

You can smell the fish the moment you step out of the car...
As the scent gets stronger you know that you're getting that much closer to the hilarious/singing/throwing fish men in bright orange overalls.

Be sure to try a little bit of all the unique things the market has to offer!
We tried their chocolate spaghetti and....hmm.

"Because the alarm went off, otherwise I'd sleep forever with my cat."

While we did see the famous gum wall of Pike Place Market and we decided to stay quite far far away...

We like getting to try local coffee, so we asked the Fish Guys for a recommendation!
Their response was that Starbucks would be the local place to go in Seattle, but we're not really much of Starbuck's drinkers, so they sent us to a hole in the wall place right down the street!
The caffeine kick that Seattle Coffee Works coffee gives you with every sip of their warm, home roasted coffee has is perfect for a days escapade on the streets of Seattle!

Pocketed in Pioneer Square, this 22 foot waterfall marks the original UPS store!

Walk back down the streets and over to Fremont to see if you can sneak past this 18 ft concrete sculpture of a troll crushing a Volkswagon Beetle!

The Fremont Troll took up residency under the Aurora bridge on Halloween of 1990 and has been a favorite quirky destination of tourists and locals alike! Needless to say, we made it out alive!

After we escaped the clutches of the Fremont Troll, we headed over to Gas Works park (it kind of reminded us a little of Sloss Furnaces in Alabama!) and had a spectacular view of the city.

To Coffee, Trolls, & Lots of Hills,
Love,
The Crew
