The Lights of Vegas

Such a spectacular view to wake up to!
Las Vegas is just between the mountains and the foliage, much easier to spot the strip at night, but still worth the view.

To our amazement, each hotel lobby is wonderfully decorated - this one was one of our favorites with fresh flower sculptures and twinkling lights in the trees.

Never having visited Vegas before, Sarah had decided to really live it up, play it big, and bring $10 to try her luck in one of the casinos.  She chose Caesars Palace.
Walked in with $10...
Walked out with $11.05.

She didn't give to Caeser what was hers.
We consider it a grand success, and hey, that's Biblical.

Vegas comes alive at night as the lights of the city are brilliantly illuminated against the clear dark skies.

The view from the elevated cross walks in the city really allows you to witness the business, yet relaxed atmosphere Vegas offers...and they are a lifesaver when you're trying to cross the street and not die!

Thanks to our Great Aunt & Uncle we got the chance to see the phenomenal Show Stoppers at the Wynn hotel!

An upbeat medley of beloved show tunes that became recognized immediately by their audience as timeless 'show stoppers' were brought to life by the talented artists that sang & danced a wonderful end to our night!

"Why the heck not?"
"Got a life to live!"

"I love seeing the new day God has given us."

Thank you to our Great Aunt & Uncle, our amazing Nevada family! We really had a wonderful time with you all...and exploring your fantastic city! It was so good to see you all & hope to visit again soon!

On the brim of the Nevada/Utah border, Great Basin National Park is quite a spectacle of forested landscapes & a beautiful destination in the winter...unless you go to see the Bristlecone Pines...and the pass is closed...and you don't have snowshoes...
While we didn't get to see the grove of the oldest Bristlecone Pines, the drive out there was lovely!

"I get up to help share my excitement of Great Basin National Park with it's visitors."

Bittersweet to leave this view for the miles of desert which lay between us and our next destination, but even the desert landscape brings about its own sort of beauty.

To all our favorite musical tunes.
Love,
The Crew
