When One is Warned about Carnivorous Wildlife...

Hiking through the enchanting forests that lead to the base of Snoqualmie Falls made us three of the over 1.5 million people that visit the park each year!

No sooner had we seen the sign to watch out for local wildlife (bears, deers, cougars...all the fun stuff) then we'd all come up with plans on what we were going to do to protect the group in case we really did see one!

But just in case any Washington wildlife intelligence are reading this we can't disclose our grand and well thought over self defense techniques which may have included coffee...

It was pretty easy to convince Jennifer to climb into the giant log in the woods, and also pretty easy to yell "Cougar!" and watch her jaw drop. We promise, all in good fun :)

And keep your camera ready to catch some of the mesmerizing rolling fog that seeps from the pool of water at the bottom!

"I get up in the morning to LIVE!"

The town of Snowqualmie is quaint, charming, and home to a unique and treasured railroad museum.

Step inside their historic train depot and then walk along the tracks to discover some of the wonderful history of their trains!

"I get up in the morning because I can! Chronic pain will not win. :)"

Even on a foggy day, Point Park is a splendid place to get a glimpse of the clouds, as well as a view  of Mount Si!

A quick stop at the Testy Chef for a delicious breakfast & meeting some lovely people!

"I get up in the morning for my dogs & my kids!"

Thank you to our wonderful Washington family! It was great to get to know you all over dinner, board games, and chocolate milk!  Thank you ever so much!

To not having to practice our cougar self defense skills,
Love,
The Crew
