There Were Never Such Devoted Sisters

Our morning began with two of our most favorite things: Mass & doughnuts with sprinkles!

Driving through the mountains on our way down to southern Utah and Arches National Park we found ourselves once again crossing paths with Route 66!

"I get up in the morning because I like to do my job. And to be on time."

The gas station even had our beloved characters from the Cars movie…we had to stop and take pictures with Sally and Lightening McQueen!

And finally, a few stops, some snacks, and four hours later, we made it to the entrance of Arches!
On the walk to the base of the Balanced Rock, passerby's have created their own little stacks of 'balancing rocks' to add to every time you walk by!

And everything was beautiful…until Jennifer accidentally knocked a whole stack down. As you can see, the other girls have well prepared their reactions: Sarah takes pictures, Jeanette laughs and walks away, and Sherry stares thoughtfully off into the distance as though she didn’t see a thing.

It’s probably a good thing that we didn’t get too incredibly close to one of Arches most beloved treasures: the Balancing Rock, we wouldn’t want to tumble this 128 foot rock formation over!

Drive just a little further and you’ll reach the trail for the double arches!

"So I can come on adventures like this!"
"It just happens. :)"

The park was simply crawling with people, especially for it being a breezy day in February. But we were fortunate to have an uninterrupted moment under the arches…and some wonderful people to take our photograph!

"I get up in the morning to take care of my family."

"To love and be loved."
"To see how much I can achieve. To push myself to be better; to learn more, to love more, to live more. And to laugh."
"The dead know only one thing, it's better to be alive. (Full Metal Jacket)".

It’s always hard to leave a state, leaving behind good people & undiscovered adventures. But we’re undoubtedly always excited for the new stretch of road to explore…and we always find interesting things to do in the car!

Thirty-three states in, and Jennifer’s finally getting comfortable in the backseat and customizing it a little to her taste. Among many quirky (yet fabulously functional!) features, is a custom cup holder  attached to the side door and fashioned from a Pringles lid and some painters tape she found in the car! No matter how long our drives turn out to be, there’s always something in the car to keep you busy!

"Live life to the fullest and enjoy every bit of what life brings your way."

Thanks to our beautiful sister Sherry for traveling around with us on our crazy adventures! It was so good to see you! :)

"I get up to greet a new day! (Whatever that new day may bring)."
"For life."

And a great big thank you to her own host family who let us stay in their home too!

To arches, sisters, and cup holders,
Love,
The Crew
